Rainbow Friends is a Roblox horror game in which players can progress by avoiding monsters and completing a variety of challenges. To avoid those monsters, players can hide in nifty cardboard boxes. Rainbow Friends lets players customize those boxes with new patterns using Gems and Coins - but how do you get them? Thankfully, there are several ways to customize your box in Rainbow Friends. Here's what you need to know about earning Gems and Coins in Rainbow Friends to customize your box.
How To Get Gems In Rainbow Friends
The only way to get Gems in Rainbow Friends is to purchase them with real-world money. You can use Robux to purchase Gems, so you'll first need to purchase the Robux and then use those on the Gems.
Purchasing Gems will allow you to quickly get your hands on any of the cosmetics you've been wanting, since they're worth a lot more than Coins. You can also use Gems at the end of the match to revive yourself in an instant. Gems have several uses, and are the game's best in-game currency by far.
Unfortunately, developers don't seem interested in adding another way for players to get Gems, so you will need to fork up some cash if you want Gems - but thankfully, there is an alternative currency that players can use if they want to get cosmetics without spending any money at all.
How To Get Coins In Rainbow Friends
Though Gems are a very useful currency in Rainbow Friends, they aren't the game's only one, as we mentioned; Coins are also used to purchase cosmetics. That said, Coins can't be earned as quickly as Gems. You can get Coins in Rainbow Friends by completing your quests, finding items, and winning games. Even if you lose but complete some tasks, you'll still be earning Coins. Coins are critical, since there are some cosmetics you can only buy with Coins.
However, outside of those Coin-exclusive cosmetics, Coins aren't nearly as useful as Gems, as they're not worth as much. It can take a lot of time to save up all the Coins you need to purchase new cosmetics in Rainbow Friends. If you don't want to spend any real world money on the game, though, it might be worth saving them up over time to get the boxes you really want.
