Roblox Doors is a unique horror experience that has players progressing through a series of doors in a building to find their way out while avoiding the evil that lurks inside. One of the things that come after you is the entity known as Dupe, and to avoid it, there are a few things you need to know.
So in this guide, we're going to explain how Dupe works and how you can avoid it while playing Doors. And hopefully get you through your terrifying experience without having to encounter Dupe even once.
How to Avoid Dupe Using Door Numbers
The trick to avoiding Dupe in Roblox Doors is by keeping track of the door numbers you head through as you progress through the game. How this works is that each door you head through is numbered, and the next door you go through will be the next number in the sequence, so if you just went through door number 9, the next door should be number 10.
Dupe however will try to trick you and make you open a door that leads to where it is, and the way it does this is by creating a fake door with a fake number on it, so using our previous example, the next door should be 10, but Dupe will create a door with the number 11. So to avoid Dupe in this case, you need to be aware of the door you just went through and know the number of the next door you should be entering is 10, not 11.
Alternative ways to Avoid Dupe
This can be harder than it sounds though s there are sometimes more than one door in a room, and especially when your running for your life in a panic you may forget the door number you just came through and be lost as to which door number is next. Luckily, there are two more alternative ways you can identify the fake Dupe Door and avoid it.
The Dupe makes a horrifying and loud noise when it's nearby and this can be used to your advantage. You can tell it's a Dupe door by the beastly rumbling sound it makes when you approach the door or stand next to it and have your volume turned up.
The next step is a bit more specific but worth noting. Some doors, including Dupe doors, will have locks on them as you move through the building, and you'll need to find the key to open them. Luckily, the key you find will have a number on it that corresponds to the door you need to open, so before opening that door, just check that its number matches your key and you'll easily be able to avoid Dupe.
As a more desperate last resort effort, the Crucifix can be used on Dupe to stop the entity from attacking you altogether. Although that's certainly not the best use of it, you should always keep it in mind if you find yourself in a tight spot.
