What’s the best money-making rod in Fisch Second Sea? That's a great question! There are loads of rods to use in the game, but few are actually good for farming. What's even more challenging is that the new world offers tons of new species that can only be caught if you have the right bait and tools in hand.
If your goal is cold, hard cash, this guide will help you by highlighting the best money-making rod in the Second Sea of Fisch.
What Is The Best Money Rod in Fisch Second Sea?
The best rod for making a ton of money has to be the Free Spirit Rod. Above and beyond the rod's fantastic stats, it also has a 20% chance to activate the “Skeletal Flowering” passive, which causes purple gemstones to rain from the sky, applying the Bloom mutation to the fish.
The rod's in-game description reads: "An odd-looking skeletal arm rod clutching a glowing gemstone, pulsing with the restless energy of the beyond." Here's a look at the rod's stats:
- +150% Luck for pulling rare and exotic fish
- +10% Resilience so your line doesn’t snap as easily
- 25% Lure Speed (a little low, so enchantments can help)
- 0.15 Control, meaning a 45% width on your minigame bar
- Max catch weight: 5000kg
- Line Distance: 50m
Why Is The Free Spirit Rod Good For Making Money in Fisch?
The main reason is that it applies the Bloom mutation, which increases the resale value of fish by 5x the normal value to significantly boost your earnings. Another thing is that the Free Spirit Rod has two passives. It also includes a Stab ability (like the Trident Rod), which works like a progressive slash system to boost the progress bar, making catches easier and faster.
Even though the rod is slightly bugged at the moment (like it doesn’t always apply the full intended barrage of stabs), it still performs well in practice. During a single night cycle on the Isles of the New Beginning, players have made over 52,000 E$, even without Bloom on the Exotic fish like the Sea Leviathan.
On top of all that, the Free Spirit Rod has 150% Luck, making it easier to land higher-tier fish like Legendaries and Mythicals. When paired with the right bait and Hasty enchant, it becomes even more efficient for farming. That said, the Great Dreamer Rod is a great alternative, but it is more than 2x the price. It's also currently bugged and not functioning as intended.
More specifically, the Great Dreamer Rod's passive (summons Cthulhu to swoop down and catch a fish for every 2-4 catches with a 5% chance to apply the Cursed Touch mutation, 5x value) doesn’t reliably work due to cooldown issues. So while it may one day take the top spot, right now the Free Spirit Rod is your best bet for making money in the Second Sea.
