A new Resident Evil showcase has been announced by Capcom has promised to give us some updates and insights into some of the company's new projects along with some classic remakes. Now, we finally have a confirmed release date and time for the event, and excitingly, it's sooner than you think.
So below we will be giving you all the details surrounding the Resident Evil Showcase event, including the release date, and time, where you can tune in to the event live, and of course the games that will be featured during it. So without further delay, let's jump right in.
Resident Evil Showcase Release Date and Time Confirmed
This year's Resident Evil Showcase will be airing on the 20th of October as just recently confirmed by Capcom. The event will begin at 3 pm PDT / 6 pm EDT / 11 pm BST and will be streamed live on the official Resident Evil YouTube and Twitch channels.
We received our first look at what we can expect from the showcase in a recent Tweet from the official Resident Evil Twitter page. The tweet gave us a short trailer, in which it's mentioned that we will be getting news on both the Resident Evil 4 remake, the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and "more" on the menu.
The emphasis of the showcase appears to be on Resident Evil Village's upcoming Gold Edition, which will include the Shadows of Rose expansion, a new third-person mode, and new playable characters in Mercenaries mode. This edition will be released on the 28th of October for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, so those who are eager to get their hands on it only have a few days to wait.

In addition, the developer will show off some new footage from the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake. The game was first announced earlier this year and is set to be released on the 24th of March, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PC via Steam.
Last but not least, the comment in the trailer released for the Resident Evil Showcase announcement made mention of "more on the menu".
While we aren't fully sure as to what this means just yet, there's a chance we could see some teases or pieces of information regarding newer Resident Evil titles such as Resident Evil 9, or a follow-up to Resident Evil Village, but of course, this is just speculation.
For now, fans are more than happy to be getting news on the Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. And needless to say were excited to get our hands on both of these terrifying games.
