Aloft Devs Celebrates Sales Milestone By Donating 5% Of Steam Festival Net Revenue In Honor Of Earth Day

Earth Day is a day of observance that supports global environmental protection, and it has multiple celebrations coordinated by EarthDay.org, its founders. First celebrated in April 1970, this year's Earth Day saw international NGO Cool Earth partner with Steam for the Earth Appreciation Festival for a front-page sale that spotlighted a plethora of games "that inspire awe through presenting nature at its best, or through games that show us the mess of a world we could find ourselves in if we don’t take action now."

Astrolabe Interactive's sandbox survival game, Aloft, was one of the featured games that had a sale discount and global livestream events on 22nd April 2025 with various content creators to commemorate Earth Day. The developers recently announced the game had reached a new sales milestone, thanking its community and new players for helping them achieve this monumental feat.

Earth Day 2025 saw developer Astrolabe Interactive honor the global celebration by being featured in the recent Earth Appreciation Festival on Steam, with the game available at a discounted price. Additionally, multiple content creators held livestreams "to raise awareness for the Cool Earth initiative, whose mission focuses on protecting rainforests and tackling climate change while also supporting the well-being and livelihood of the people in those communities."

As a result, the developer announced a new sales milestone in which over 200,000 Sky Sailers have ascended to the skies and joined the call to save the Sky Islands from devastating corruption plaguing the environment. In honor of Earth Day 2025 and this new sales milestone, the developer will donate 5% of the net revenue earned during Steam's Earth Appreciation Festival to Cool Earth.

In an official statement, Astrolabe Interactive's Creative Director Manuel Bergeron said, “One of our goals in Aloft was to offer a chance for players to learn about the fragile balance of ecosystems and have a direct positive impact on their environment. It’s our honor to contribute to the environment by giving to the Cool Earth Initiative.”
