Resident Evil: Death Island is the first film in the Resident Evil universe to put favorite characters like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Rebecca Chambers, Claire Redfield, and more all together to fight against evil.
Now, Resident Evil: Death Island is coming to Netflix in the US with a release date of later this year. This will be the first time the movie is available on streaming services in the United States, so here's how and when US viewers can finally watch the film at home.
When Is Resident Evil: Death Island Coming Out On Netflix?
Resident Evil: Death Island is set to come to US Netflix on 9 November 2023.
Death Island will join other Resident Evil titles already on the US version of the streaming platform, including 2022's Resident Evil live-action series and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
The Death Island film debuted in Singapore on 22 June 2023, and later in Japan on 7 July 2023. Death Island debuted in the US on DVD and Blu-ray on 25th July 2023, but the November release will mark the first time it's available on streaming services in the United States.
The release of Resident Evil: Death Island comes at a time that's a sort of a renaissance for Resident Evil, given the widespread success of the recent Resident Evil 4 remake, and talk of a potential Resident Evil 5 remake.
Is Resident Evil: Death Island On Streaming Services?
Death Island will be available to watch on Netflix in the US starting on 9 November, but it's unlikely that the movie will appear on other streaming services like Hulu or Peacock.
Sony and Netflix have an exclusive deal to release their feature films; as part of that deal, other movies, like No Hard Feelings, will also be available on Netflix during the second half of 2023. As such, fans will likely need to have a Netflix subscription to watch RE: Death Island on streaming services at home.
