Recently, there's been a lot of rumors circulating around surrounding Resident Evil 9, but known leaker and dataminer Dusk Golem stated that fans should "wipe the expectations of RE9 being announced this summer period." Unfortunately, it seems like that if Resident Evil 9 does come to light, it'll be after the summer season this year.
While Dusk Golem claims that a Resident Evil 9 is still very likely coming in the future, it probably won't be announced until after this upcoming summer. In fact, he stated that it's more likely to be pushed back to 2025-2026. This would leave fans waiting several years instead of just a few months, as previously suggested.
In other Resident Evil news, Dusk Golem/AestheticGamer noted that another Resident Evil 1 remake is likely not in the works, contradicting claims other leakers made earlier this month. However, they did note that "Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica [remakes are] in development right now," though no possible release date was provided.
