How to Unlock Handcannon in Resident Evil 4

You can get the Handcannon in Resident Evil 4 by completing a new game on Professional difficulty without using any bonus weapons. These include Infinite Rocket Launcher, Chicago Sweeper, and Primal Knife. 

 Keep in mind that you must complete the game on the standard new game mode instead of the new game plus, where you get to keep all your weapons and resources. 

Once you have completed the game on Professional difficulty, the handgun will be available to grab from the Storage menu of any typewriter. 

While this may seem like a difficult way to get your hands on one of the most powerful weapons in the game, the Handcannon was actually even more challenging to acquire in the original RE 4. 

In the 2005's version of the game, the only way to acquire the Handcannon was to complete the Mercenaries mode with five stars rating on all four stages with all five characters. That sounds pretty brutal, right? It actually was!

Once you have acquired the Handcannon, you can also unlock Infinite Ammo for it. For this, you simply have to purchase all the existing upgrades for the weapon from the merchant.
