Pokémon GO Test Your Mettle event is currently underway until 21st September and provides Trainers a chance to encounter several Steel-type Pokémon like Celesteela and Kartana. In addition, Trainers can also complete Timed Research Tasks to unlock even more exclusive rewards.
Beyond this, developer Niantic has introduced a brand-new set of Field Research Tasks that require Trainers to catch a certain number of Pokémon to encounter rare critters. Here is everything you need to know about the Pokémon GO Field Research Challenges and the exclusive rewards.
All Field Research Tasks In Pokémon GO Test Your Mettle
During the Pokémon GO Test Your Mettle event, Trainers can complete the following Field Research Objectives to earn the respective rewards:
- Catch 5 Pokémon for a Magnemite* encounter
- Catch 5 Pokémon for a Nosepass* encounter
- Catch 5 Pokémon for a Ferroseed* encounter
- Catch 10 Pokémon for a Pineco* encounter
- Catch 10 Pokémon for a Drilbur encounter
- Catch 15 Pokémon for a Beldum* encounter
- Evolve 2 Steel type Pokémon for 50 Steelix Mega Energy
- Evolve 2 Steel type Pokémon for 50 Scizor Mega Energy
- Power up 5 Steel type Pokémon for a Togedemaru encounter
Pokémon GO Test Your Mettle Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Test Your Mettle event. As a result, players can catch them easily without putting extra effort:
- Magnemite*
- Pineco*
- Nosepass*
- Aron*
- Beldum*
- Prinplup
- Bronzor*
- Drilbur
- Ferroseed*
- Galarian Stunfisk*
- Togedemaru
And if you think that's all about this new event, then you're wrong. Mega Aggron, the latest Steel/Rock type Pokémon has made its debut in the game as a part of the Test Your Mettle event.
