Pokemon GO Season Of Light Teases Cosmog, Solgaleo, And Lunala

Every Season in Pokémon GO, players experience fresh events, catch new Pokémon, and do much more. This includes new Legendary Pokémon for players to capture, collect, and use on the battlefield.

In the latest snip-clip of Pokémon GO Season of Light, Niantic teased three new Legendary Pokémon, Cosmog, Solgaleo, and Lunala, most likely coming to the augmented reality mobile game very soon.

With Season of Light kicking off 1st September 2022, players confidently suspect these new Legendary Pokémon to arrive alongside it. Here's everything players need to know about the teaser and more.

Is Cosmog, Solgaleo, and Lunala Coming To Pokémon GO?

Niantic’s latest teaser verified the upcoming Season of Light and hinted at the approaching Legendary Pokémon featured in Spotlights and Pokémon GO Raids.

Although such a short video, various symbols, and silhouettes highlighted throughout the video hinted at a high chance, if not obvious enough, that Cosmog, Solgaleo, and Lunala will be coming to Pokémon GO.

Not much has been revealed about these cosmic beings, nothing that players who’ve played Pokémon Sun or Moon, or the Ultra versions of these games, already haven’t figured out about the Legendary Pokémon.

In addition, it’s not unlikely Pokémon GO Season of Light will feature an outer space theme, or at the very least, something involving theatrics between the sun and moon.

The next Pokémon GO Season has been announced as the Season of Light.

The released teaser hints toward Legendary Pokémon Cosmog, Solgaleo, and Lunala taking the spotlight.

For now, Niantic hasn’t revealed anything beyond the teaser, so players are still questioning what abilities or stats these Legendary Pokémon might possess upon their release in September.

Cosmog is a Psychic-type Pokémon resembling a Nebula. This Pokémon evolves into Cosmoem, which then transforms into either Lunala or Solgaleo. In the Pokémon games, Cosmog isn’t particularly strong, but when it turns into one of the two final evolutions, it becomes a Pokémon no one should reckon with.

Lunala and Solgaleo resemble the sun and moon. Solgaleo looks like a cross between a Lion and the sun.

Solgaleo is a Steel and Psychic-type Pokémon who learns various movesets that are solar-themed, like Morning Sun or Solar Beam. 

On the other hand, Lunala resembles a mix between a legless bat and a crescent moon.

Lunala is a Ghost and Psychic-type Pokémon who mostly learns Ghost-type movesets like Moongeist Beam and Night Shade.

It isn’t easy pointing out what possibilities lay ahead of Pokémon GO with these Legendary Pokémon confidently appearing in the game soon.

But for more details, players will need to stay alert as Niantic continues to unveil more information about Pokémon GO Season of Light soon before it debuts on 1st September 2022.
