The Pokémon YouTube channel has just dropped a massive 14-minute trailer covering lots of new content that will be coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in November.
From branching storylines to brand-new Pokémon reveals, let's take a look at everything announced in this trailer!
Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Trailer
The trailer starts informing viewers of content they likely already know, from the branching adventure mode to the fact we will be playing as school children this time around. We then see a brief showcase of Terastallizing and learn that it is also possible to encounter wild Tera Pokémon. Dealing enough damage to a wild Tera Pokémon will revert its Tera typing.

After this, we learn about the "Let's Go" command. This will send your lead Pokémon out into the wild to either battle on its own or collect an item. This will alleviate a lot of unnecessary grinding, as Pokémon will still gain EXP for these battles.
Team Star, Path Of Legends, And Victory Road
We learn more about the branching adventure that Scarlet and Violet pride themselves on.
Team Star
One of three major stories will involve doing battle with the school troublemakers, otherwise known as Team Star. Battles will take place in "Starfall Street" at several unique bases. We then meet Mela, the boss of Team Star's Fire Crew. These characters are likely akin to admins of previous games' evil teams.
Path Of Legend
The Path of Legend storyline will have players doing battle against gigantic titan Pokémon while also in search of treasure.
Victory Road
This will be the most familiar storyline to Pokémon veterans. In this storyline, players will battle against the eight gym leaders before taking on the Elite Four and the final Champion of the Paldea region.
Before being able to battle a gym leader, players will have to pass their gym test, similar to Sword and Shield. We also get to meet Brassius, the grass-type gym leader.
Farigiraf Is Here
Out of nowhere, the trailer randomly drops a brand-new Girafarig evolution on us! This new Pokémon is known as Farigiraf, and its tail is now where its head is!
Not much is known yet about Farigiraf, but fans have already begun to speculate over what its Paldean typing could be.
Other Features + Leaked Pokémon
The TM machine, located at every Pokémon center, will allow players to make their own TMs using materials Pokémon drop after being caught or defeated in battle.
It is also possible to customize your hair and clothes, like in other Pokémon games. However, something brand-new is the ability to take selfies with your Pokémon!
Additionally, like in Sword and Shield, you can have quality time with your Pokémon to pet and feed them. This is known as having a picnic in Scarlet and Violet.
Finally, something we already knew but are re-showcased in the trailer is Tera Raid battles.
Leaked Pokémon
It wouldn't be a Pokémon trailer if there weren't a few oversights. Keen-eyed watchers will have noticed that, during a portion of the trailer, the minimap displayed several unannounced Pokémon. Aside from a Rookidee, there appear to be two new Pokémon types similar to a parrot and a mouse (and potentially a rock-like mushroom if that image doesn't turn out to be a building!).
AustinJohnPlays also managed to capture a few leaked Pokémon.
These include a large yellow-eyed bug and a possible pre-evolution to Armorouge!
