How to get the Electirizer in Pokémon BDSP

There are many Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) that can only be added to your party via trading it. However, some Pokémon take it a step further and can only evolve by being traded with a specific held item. These items are found all over Sinnoh and players can pick them up throughout their travels. 

Unfortunately, most of these items are found in the post-game of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This means that players won’t be able to evolve their Pokémon until they defeat the main story of the game and unlock the National Dex. 

However, the Electirizer, which is used to evolve Electabuzz into Electivire, isn’t one of these items. 

Finding the Electirizer in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

In order to find the Electirizer in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, all you need to do is find a wild Elekid. Elekid is the first form of Electivire and can only be found in the Grand Underground.

You don’t even need to have any sort of progress in the story to find Elekid spawning in four different caves. You can simply get the Explorer’s Kit in Eterna City, head underground and go into the caves to catch Elekid. 

The four caves you need to search are below: 

• Dazzling Cave 
• Whiteout Cave 
• Glacial Cave 
• Stargleam Cavern

As long as you keep entering and exiting these specific caves, Elekid will spawn eventually. Once you catch one, you need to check if it’s holding an Electirizer. If it’s not, then you need to keep catching them until one is holding the item. 

That’s the only way to find the Electirizer in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
