For fans who enjoyed the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games, there’s no reason to not enjoy the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes.
Nearly all of the game’s original Pokémon are present for players to go out and catch again in Sinnoh’s vast region. While many players might opt for some of the free Pokémon that GameFreak is giving out, like Mew and Jirachi, other players will want to go for the Pokémon that require a challenge.
Two of the Pokémon that require somewhat of a challenge are Leafeon and Glaceon. The two Eeveelutions were introduced with Generation IV and players have loved the pair ever since. However, veterans and new players alike might need a refresher course on how to get them in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Catching Leafeon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To catch Leafeon or Glaceon, you’ll first need to find the free Eevee gift. You can do this by beating Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and seeing all 150 Pokemon. This is a daunting task for some and doesn’t help those who were looking forward to using a Leafeon to beat the Elite 4 the first time around. That’s the easiest way to get an Eevee without trading with another player/game, though.
Once you have seen all 150 Pokémon in the Regional Pokedex, speak to Professor Rowan in Sandgem Town. Here, you’ll receive the National Dex to see more kinds of Pokémon. After the Dex is in your possession, you can head to Hearthome City and speak to Bebe, who’s located in the house to the right of the Pokémon Center. She will give you a free Eevee.
With the Eevee in your party, you can go about evolving into Leafeon or Glaceon. For Leafeon, you will need to head to the Eterna City Forest and find the Mossy Rock. Near the rock, you’ll need to have your Eevee level up once, either by battling Pokémon in the grass or using a Rare Candy. Once you’ve done that, the Eevee will evolve into Leafeon.
Catching Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Glaceon has a similar method of evolving, which involves going south of Snowpoint City. On Route 217 in the righthand corner, which is in a blizzard, you will find the Ice Rock. Here, you must evolve your Eevee by one level while standing next to the rock. This will trigger the Eeveelution and reward you with a Glaceon.
Those are the two ways to catch a Leafeon and Glaceon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
