There is perhaps no stranger way to acquire a Pokémon than by evolving Nincada in a specific way. Nincada is the only Pokémon in the franchise to evolve into two separate mons after evolving. The first evolution is done by simply leveling up the small bug to a certain level, which yields Ninjask.
However, if players have an empty spot in their party when Nincada evolves, then they also receive Shedinja. This Pokémon has been highly sought-after by players since its introduction in Generation III. Of course, in order to acquire a Shedinja or even Ninjask, players need to know where they can find Nincada in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Catching Nincada in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
The only way to acquire Nincada is through the use of the PokéRadar. This device is given to you by talking to Professor Oak in Ramanas Park after you’ve beaten the main story of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and acquired the National Dex from Professor Rowan.
Once you have the National Dex, speak to Professor Oak at the park and he’ll give you the PokéRadar. With the device, you can start the search for Nincada in Eterna Forest. With the PokéRadar active, you can walk into patches of grass and wait for some to shake. These moving patches will yield a Pokémon, one of which will eventually be Nincada.
With your Nincada in the party, you can evolve it to level 20 to receive Ninjask. However, you want to ensure you have an empty spot in your party before reaching that level. If you don’t, then you won’t receive the Shedinja.
