The final event in July of Season of GO has been a mystery until today when it was announced that the Hisuian Discoveries event would go live in Pokémon GO. This isn't the first time a Hisuian event has gone live in the game, but it brings the most debut Pokémon from the region to the table.
Hisuian Discoveries will begin on July 27 at 10 am local time. It will continue until August 2 at 8 pm local time. What comes next remains to be seen, but in the meantime, Trainers will have three new Hisuian forms of Pokémon to catch and evolve during the event.
Hisuian Discoveries event - Every debut in Pokémon GO
When the Hisuian region made its first debut in Pokémon GO, it was used as a promotional event rather than a true opportunity for some new Pokémon. The regional version of Voltorb and Electrode were the only real focus, but they still allowed for some new forms which is never a bad thing.

Hisuian Discoveries will have three debuts that Trainers can catch in the final week of July. Two of those Pokémon will also come with some new evolutions which bring the total to five new forms in the game. All seven Hisuian regionals are listed below for Pokémon GO.
- Hisuian Growlithe
- Hisuian Arcanine
- Hisuian Sneasel
- Hisuian Weavile
- Hisuian Qwilfish
- Hisuian Voltorb
- Hisuian Electrode
Though these Pokémon will be available to encounter, it won't be as easy as you might think. Two of the new debut forms won't be available to catch in the wild. Of the full lineup, only Voltorb and Qwilfish will appear in the wild while the Discoveries event is live. To get the others, you'll need to rely on eggs.
During the event, Hisuian Growlithe and Hisuian Sneasel will hatch from 7km eggs. These are the yellow and pink eggs that are collected from opening gifts. Any 7km eggs that you have before the event will not be able to hatch a Hisuian form, so keep that in mind.
The good news is Sneasel and Growlithe are both Pokémon that only need 50 candies to evolve. You will still need to hatch them two or three separate times, but it's much better than needing 100 candies for one evolution.
Aside from the debuts, Trainers can expect a new Hisui Cup in the GO Battle League. For those that simply like catching, an Elite Collection Challenge will also be available. More information about these challenges will be released soon.
