When the Season of Light went live in Pokémon GO, all of the future Community Day events were outlined in advance, but the features were still a mystery. Now we know that Dratini will be the first Community Day Classic feature in the latest season.
In just about a week, we're already getting the second Community Day event within the Season of Light in the form of Litwick. Shortly after, we can expect the Dratini Community Day Classic, which gives Trainers the opportunity to participate in an event from years prior. We'll go over the dates for the event and what to expect.
Pokémon GO - Community Day Classic: Dratini
The first Classic event of the season will take place on November 5, 2022. Some of the latest Community Day events have gone live on a random Sunday, but this time, Trainers can expect a Saturday release time for the Dratini-focused event.
Though the event is considered a classic, it will not have the same hours that the older Community Day events used to have. While those lasted for six hours and started earlier, Dratini day will only be live for three hours. Trainers can begin at 2 pm local time that day and they will have until 5 pm local time.

Participating in the event is technically free, but you won't get the Special Research that goes along with it if you don't purchase the $1 ticket from the shop. The Special Research story: Dratini Community Day Classic will give Trainers far more candy and an easy opportunity for a Dragonite, but it isn't required.
Some more great news is that these Community Day Classics don't count as the official event that month. Just a week later, we can all expect yet another day event with a brand-new Pokémon GO feature for November.
Can Dratini be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
As a Generation 1 Pokémon, Dratini has a guaranteed shiny form that you can catch in Pokémon GO. If you've ever wanted a purple Dratini or a green Dragonite, November will be the perfect opportunity to do so.
Dragonite itself is also a highly useful Pokémon in raids or in the GO Battle League. Along with the guaranteed Draco Meteor move from the November Community Day Classic, that will be a perfect chance to beef up your team in Pokémon GO.
