How To Find A Shiny Swirlix in Pokémon GO?
Like previous Spotlight Hours, Swirlix and Shiny Swirlix will often appear in the wild for an hour. This Spotlight Hour event is the only opportunity for Trainers to acquire the Cotton Candy Pokémon; you can increase your chances of encountering it using a Lure Module or Incense to attract Swirlix or Shiny Swirlix to your location or PokéStop.
Should you eventually encounter it, interact with Swirlix to try and catch the Pokémon using Poké Balls and Razz Berries to boost your chances of catching it. With every Swirlix you catch, the more Swirlix Candy you can acquire, which can be used to evolve Swirlix to Slurpuff with 50 Swirlix Candy once you give it 25 treats if it’s a Buddy Pokémon.
It’s worth noting that the transforming Normal-type Pokémon, Ditto, can pose as Swirlix in the wild as Swirlix is one of the various Ditto Disguises. While it won’t appear in the Map View, you’ll only be able to determine whether you’ve encountered a Ditto or Swirlix once caught.
