We’re halfway through February, and there’s plenty of in-game content and activities to look forward to before the Season of Mythical Wishes concludes. This includes the next Spotlight Hour event, which sees Trainers encountering a familiar Pokémon.
Jigglypuff will appear once again in-game for the limited-time event, and as it can be seen more frequently, will you have a chance of encountering a Shiny Jigglypuff? Here’s what we know if there’s a Shiny Jigglypuff in Spotlight Hour event for Pokémon GO.
Is There A Shiny Jigglypuff In Pokémon GO?
The following Spotlight Hour event sees the Normal/Fairy-type Pokémon appearing in wild encounters for Trainers to encounter. As for whether a Shiny Jigglypuff will spawn more frequently in the wild, yes, you’ll stand a high chance of encountering a Shiny Jigglypuff.
The Jigglypuff Spotlight Hour will be available on 21st February 2023 for one hour between 6 pm and 7 pm. During this hour, Jigglypuff will have an active event bonus in which you can gain double XP for catching Pokémon.
Additionally, other event bonuses for the month’s Spotlight Hour events will also be active for a limited time. You can take advantage of them by catching and evolving Pokémon to receive the following bonuses:
- Double XP when evolving Pokémon
- Double Stardust when catching Pokémon
- Double Candy when catching Pokémon
Like with previous Spotlight Hour events, you can utilize Incense which includes the Daily Adventure Incense but ensure you remain moving on the map. Similarly, Lure Modules can also be activated during the event to increase your chances of encountering Jigglypuff, Shiny Jigglypuff, and other wild Pokémon.
Trainers should double-check their Item Bag or Storage for enough Poké Balls to use when catching Jigglypuff; otherwise, spin the PokéStops to collect some Poké Balls. Should you encounter the Pokémon, you can feed it Razz Berries to boost your chances of catching Jigglypuff or Shiny Jigglypuff.
Likewise, Nanab Berries slows the Pokémon down, and Pinap Berries ensures you get double Candy if successfully caught. Lastly, test out your throwing abilities using either Nice, Great, Curveball, or Excellent Throws, contributing to your progression for the month’s Field Research tasks.
