May kicks off its monthly festivities by marking the return of notable Trainer Spark in a brand new event for Pokémon GO's Season of Rising Heroes. An Instinctive Hero is the latest event available in-game as Spark calls on his fellow Trainers to assist him and Elekid with various research activities.
In doing so, hatching Pokémon is the primary objective for Trainers, as a few Pokémon are making their in-game debut through this event. We’ve detailed everything about this newly electrifying event, An Instinctive Hero, including the event schedule, featured Pokémon, rewards, and more for Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO An Instinctive Hero Event Dates & Times
Niantic has launched the brand new event, An Instinctive Hero, as part of the current Season of Rising Heroes for Pokémon GO. The event starts on 2nd May 2023 at 10 local time and will continue until 8th May 2023 at 8 pm local time.
Throughout this event, Trainers will be helping out Team Instinct leader Spark and his Pokémon, Elekid, by completing various in-game activities. Completing these activities will see plenty of rewards made available, and you can also take advantage of the event-exclusive bonuses, which include the following:
- Double XP when hatching Pokémon
- Double Stardust when hatching Pokémon
- Shiny Pokémon have an increased chance of hatching from 2, 5, and 10km Eggs
Pokémon GO An Instinctive Hero Event – Featured Pokémon
Three Pokémon will be heavily featured during this event, of which two are making their in-game debuts. Larvesta and Volcarona will appear more frequently as they can be hatched from 2, 5, and 10km Eggs during the event and for the remainder of the season.
In addition, if you acquired the Bug/Fire-type Pokémon, Larvesta, during the event or the current season, it can be evolved into Volcarona, which needs 400 Larvesta Candy to achieve this. However, for this event specifically, you won’t be able to hatch a Shiny Larvesta and Volcarona, according to Niantic; however, this may change post-launch.
