With the Pokémon Go Mythic Blade event underway, players will be able to catch an assortment of new Pokémon during the event's wild encounters, and one of these new creatures is the fighting type Pokémon Crabrawler and its evolved form, Crabominable. If you're keen on catching either of these Pokémon and want to know how then we have you covered.
This guide will show you how to catch Crabrawler and evolve it into its more powerful form, Craboniable. As well as give you some tips and tricks for catching this tough crustacean.
Pokémon GO - How to Catch Crabrawler
Catching Crabrawler is fairly easy to do, and even beginners stand a high chance of catching one during the Pokémon Go Mythic Blade event. All you need to do is head out into the wild during the event and keep encountering new Pokémon until Crabrawler shows up, as it only spawns in as a wild encounter.
A fair warning, however, is that Crabrawler is a rare spawn, meaning it won't be encountered very quickly (unless you're very lucky), so we suggest using a Lure Module or your Daily Adventure Incense to speed up the process and farm wild encounters until one pops up. Unfortunately, Crabrawler can't spawn as Shiny (for now) but catching it in its base form is still a treat.
Last but not least, since it's currently not clear whether Crabrawler will appear again after the Mythic Blade Event ends, we recommend catching one as soon as possible to add some punchy firepower to your team of Pokémon.
Pokémon GO - How to Evolve Crabrawler into Crabominable
Crabrawler can only be evolved into Crabominable using a Glacial Lure Module and 50 Crabrawler Candy. When the evolution process starts, you must place this unique Lure Module on a PokéStop and stay near it, which results in Crabrawler evolving into Crabominable.
The in-game Shop offers Glacial Lure Modules for 180 PokéCoins. Although it happens infrequently, they are occasionally awarded as prizes for finishing Timed Research or Special Research stories.
Another useful tip is to use a Pinap Berry whenever you try to capture one to double your catch candy to collect plenty of Crabrawler Candy. Making a Crabrawler your buddy Pokémon will also give you an extra boost of Crabrawler Candy.
Keep an eye out for PokéStops with snow falling around them, as this means that another player has placed a Glacial Lure Module on a PokéStop. You can then use this Pokéstop to evolve your Crabrawler without needing a Glacial Lure Module of your own.
