Phasmophobia's major Eventide update will bring big changes to progression, optimization fixes, and an all-new map to the ghost-hunting game tomorrow, 25 June. The update is currently only available to certain official Kinetic Games Partners with early access keys, but YouTuber FlashForce has thankfully released a detailed video including the patch notes.
The most major update in Eventide might just be the addition of the new Point Hope Lighthouse map, which features 10 floors, 12 rooms, and a "unique layout which will challenge players in new ways." Players will be able to unlock access to the lighthouse at level 15.
Other major changes in this update surround progression, making it significantly easier for players to level up (with 10% less experience required per level). It also increases the level cap to 9999, significantly higher than the previous cap of 999. Between levels 999 and 9999, the experience needed to level up will increase with every level.
The Eventide update's changes don't end with a new map and changes to progression. The update also includes various new ID cards, including one - Lighthouse Keeper - that is focused on identifying the ghost in the new Point Hope Lighthouse map.
With all of these changes in store for Phasmophobia, this update might just be one of the game's most massive yet. Not only will players get to experience a new map, they'll also find progression easier, and will likely notice many gameplay changes as they complete challenges and identify ghosts.
These changes are welcomed by much of Phasmophobia's community; some fans found themselves frustrated when developers released merchandise after a long period without updates.
