Winterlights have arrived as Palians have begun their holiday preparations courtesy of the v0.174 patch update for Palia. As this is the season to be giving and spending time with loved ones, one of the best ways to enjoy the company of others is by getting and decorating a Winterlights Tree.
This festively green Winterlights Tree can be obtained relatively easily as players can start their pursuit of collecting decorations and a very “special tree ornament.” Get ready to rock and roll around the tree as we’ve detailed how to get the wonderful Winterlights Tree in Palia.
How To Get The Winterlights Tree In Palia?
The 0.174 patch update, or the Winter update, arrived in Palia, bringing everything we love about Christmastime. And what a befitting way to usher in the Holiday Season than with a magnificent tree to decorate, which the Palian variation of the Christmas tree is known as the Winterlights Tree.
This tree can be placed anywhere on the players’ Housing plot; however, it’s missing some holiday sparkle and magic, which can be resolved by obtaining decorations. Before decorating the tree, players can receive the Winterlights Tree by awaiting a letter from Jina, who’ll enclose the Winterlights Tree and the Winterlights Candle Stick, along with the recipes for both items.
Players can use the recipe for the Winterlights Tree and craft the tree and their Worktable; however, they will need Tree Seeds to produce a Winterlights Tree. More specifically, the recipe calls for Acorn Tree Seeds, which can be acquired as loot drops after chopping down Oak trees, which can be found throughout Kilima Village.
Players are to chop the medium to large Oak trees to drop Sapwood logs, Plant Fiber, and Acorns, for which the trees are also found on and near the entrance to their Housing plot. Another way players can receive Tree Seeds without cutting them down is by completing Kenyatta’s Discovery quest, Chef for a Day.
Completing this quest, she’ll mail players an Acorn, a Pinecone, and a Samara Tree Seed, which the Acorn can use to craft the Winterlights Tree. It’s unclear if Juniper, Pinecone, and Samara Tree Seeds can be used to make a Winterlights Tree, but it’s more likely it can when visiting the Worktable.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
