Nevertheless, she has shared some intel with players to encourage cooperation between them and the Order, which she has a task to offer in the Underground Affairs Friendship quest.

As a Watcher for the Order, Subira has been tasked with investigating the sudden re-appearance of humans in Kilima Village, with players being the central figure of her investigations. Subira has since encouraged cooperation and their discretion regarding the details of these investigations; she does require them to access areas and locations that would make her suspicious of her appearance.

For Subira’s Friendship Level 2 quest, Underground Affairs, she has been tasked with an important yet dangerous mission to complete. If they’re up to this task, take a peek below at the quest objectives required to help them finish the quest and return to Subira with the intel she needs:

How To Complete The Underground Affairs Friendship Quest In Palia?

Once players reach Friendship Level 2 with the Watcher of the Order, Subira, they can receive a letter that triggers the Underground Affairs Friendship quest. They can meet her in her room at the Ormuu’s Horn Inn to discuss the contents of her letter, where she briefly details her recent discovery of an underground market in Kilima Village.

Players will immediately identify this as Zeki’s Underground Black Market running beneath the General Store, which she explains is connected to old trading routes in Bahari Bay. As they’re using these routes to transport illegal goods to Kilima Village, she tasks players with retrieving all Flow-infused cargo potentially being sold to Majiris in the village, in which they can provide information that Zeki is involved.

They must infiltrate the location, as Subira’s presence will be detected, and acquire information on any trades occurring at the location. As players had already found its location during the Wares in Low Places quest, they must speak to Zeki about the market, and they can ask about working there or inform him that Subira is looking into the market.

Whether they had informed Zeki about this or not, he’d discuss a magical draught that Tamala has been working on, which they are to speak with Tamala regarding this brew. They learn that Tamala had given her last brew to a client, and they are to gather ingredients for her to make another brew before delivering it to Zeki.

They must acquire one of each ingredient, Brightshroom, Enchanted Pupfish, Heat Root, and Lunar Fairy Moth, and return to Tamala, where she’ll produce another vial of the magical draught. They can head back to Zeki with the vial while Zeki’s at the market, where they can inquire about a stolen cargo of his, which contains a Flow-infused light that can see through illusory objects and structures.

Return to Subira with the information collected from Zeki and discuss the object within the stolen cargo and how it could be used to go against the Grimalkin cartel. If they reveal his identity, as Zeki mentioned in his conversations with him, Subira will conclude that he’s been manipulated by the cartel and that the Order isn’t going after him but the cartel.

They can inquire why the Order hasn’t been able to topple the Grimalkin cartel, citing that it’s “complicated” dating back to the Grimalkin trade war and asking how they’ve amassed Flow before the quest concludes. They will improve their standings with Subira and net 20 Renown and 600 Gold for their efforts in obtaining this information without being detected by Eshe.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
