Developer Singularity 6 is preparing for their upcoming Closed and Open Beta for their forthcoming MMO release, Palia, which begins in August 2023. This Beta testing period will smooth out any "rough edges" and ensure players get the best gaming experience upon its release.
Although the developer has yet to announce a release date for its confirmed platforms, whether the game will be available through Steam and be playable or verified for the Steam Deck is unknown. This guide aims to explain if Palia will be coming to Steam Deck upon its launch for PC.
Can You Play Palia On Steam Deck?
With Palia coming to Nintendo Switch and PC, with release dates to be announced, it has yet to be determined whether the game will be available through Epic Games or Steam. The developer, Singularity 6, has yet to confirm when players can Wishlist it for PC, as it's available on Wishlist for the Switch; we can't confirm if the game will be available for the Steam Deck.

As we await to learn if the game will retail on Steam, Palia must still go through Valve's verification process to be compatible with the Steam Deck. While it could be playable for the Steam Deck, it doesn't translate that it is Steam Deck verified, as it could provide players with the best gaming experience on the device.
Nevertheless, while Palia doesn't have a store listing on Steam, the game, in turn, isn't available for the Steam Deck, which could be subject to change. However, the game will host a Closed Beta for PC starting on 2nd August 2023 at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 5 pm UTC, with an Open Beta beginning on 10th August 2023 at the same time listed.
Players must have an existing Palia account or create a new account from the Palia website to participate in either Betas. This will qualify your eligibility to gain access to either Beta, for which you'll receive an email notification to enter the Closed Beta.
You can also get involved in the Refer-A-Friend program, where you can copy your referral link and forward it to five friends to create an account and join you in-game. This will award you five exclusive rewards for each friend you refer, and your friends will each receive a reward for using the referral link.
With more details regarding the upcoming PC Public Betas expected to be announced in the coming weeks, we may know if Palia will be available on Steam and the Steam Deck soon. Likewise, we will provide updates on Palia's compatibility with the Steam Deck as soon as new information is made available.
