Palia’s latest patch update added a wealth of new content, balance changes, and address known issues for players to be aware of. As Kilima Village anticipates the Fall season with plenty of pumpkins and terrifying thrills, a new thrilling experience awaits them underground.
The Obstacle Course has finally made its way to Palia, as players can compete and complete a platforming challenge if they know where to look. We’ve explored the depths of the underground to help players find and join the Obstacle Course in Palia.
How To Find & Join The Obstacle Course In Palia?
The Obstacle Course is a brand new game mode included in the latest patch update, v0.170, for Palia. This game mode was first announced in September 2023’s Developer Update, in which the studio expressed their plans to create experiences “that are more typical in other game genres with some of the same components.”
This is where the Obstacle Course factors into new experiences created for Palia, focusing on the movement mechanics in-game. As players enjoy themselves sprinting, gliding, and climbing to new heights and with great freedom throughout the world, a controlled platforming experience vastly differs from what many have discovered.
While this may not appeal to all players in-game, those who enjoy a thrilling yet challenging experience can look forward to participating in an Obstacle Course. Locating isn’t difficult either, as many will have visited this location, especially recently, as it received a significant makeover.
Players can head to Zeki’s Underground Black Market by accessing it via the sewers at Crystal Lake or the secret entrance behind the counter at Zeki’s General Store. Once you arrive, locate the arcade machines, and you’ll find a very special arcade machine that, interacting with it, will transport you to a new location known as The Tower.
Head through the doors and don’t forget to read the Welcome message from the developer, which players can begin the Obstacle Course. If players are familiar with the viral sensation game Only Up, then this new game mode is reminiscent of it as the main objective is to “scramble” through the obstacles to complete the challenge.
Players can post their fastest completion time, which will be recorded, and there are new Accomplishments to achieve. However, these Accomplishments have yet to be revealed, so we’ll update this guide to reflect any recent changes or updates made to the Obstacle Course in Palia.
Palia is currently available in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The cozy MMO will be available on Nintendo Switch consoles, releasing Holiday Season 2023.
