Kilima Village's lovable dog, Tau, may have been misbehaving lately, according to the magistrate, Eshe, and you'll discover this during Tau's first Friendship quest, Not-So-Good Boy. Tau is the latest villager NPC to receive new Friendship quests in a recent update, and his recent antics are catching the attention of fellow Villagers.
Players will be helping Eshe find her newspapers and helping Hassian uncover the truth behind Tau's outlandish behavior, but where are these newspapers? We've pulled out the magnifying glass to investigate where to find them in the Not-So-Good Boy quest for Palia.
Palia Not-So-Good Boy Quest Objectives List
The Not-So-Good Boy quest is the first of four Friendship quests players can unlock to further their bond with Bahari Bay's favorite good boy, Tau. However, word has it that he has been misbehaving, much to the displacement of Hassian, who argues the opposite.
As a favor for Hassian, he asks you to investigate Eshe's claims and Tau's behavior as you get to the bottom of this mysterious incident. Below, we've detailed the quest objectives to help players assist Hassian and Tau in the Not-So-Good Boy quest in Palia:
- Talk with Eshe
- Talk with Hassian
- Find Tau's hidden stash of papers.
- Talk with Eshe
How To Complete The Not-So-Good Boy Quest In Palia?
This is the first Friendship quest players can receive after reaching Level 1 Friendship with the friendly dog, Tau. This quest will be given to players by Eshe, the magistrate of Kilima Village and Kenli's wife, pleading with you to help her regarding a terrible problem.
Eshe claims that Hassian's canine companion, Tau, has robbed her of her daily newspapers and expresses her anger regarding the issue. She asks you to investigate the matter by tracking the missing newspapers before reporting to her.
Players do have the option to speak to Hassian, which may be in your best interest to talk with him before heading out to locate the newspapers. The newspapers can be found somewhere in Bahari Bay, where you can sprint to the entrance or fast-travel using the Stable board, travel to the Central Stables location, and walk towards the Bahari Bay entrance.
There will be a trail of deep pawprints on the grounds, which you'll need to follow across the grassy plains until the trail goes cold. Summit the cliff near the trail, and once you've reached the top, you'll find a heap of sand protruding, which, investigating it, unearths the newspapers.
You can return to Kilima Village and speak with Tau before reporting back to Eshe on your discoveries. While Eshe will be grateful for locating the partially chewed up, you'll receive Gold and Renown as rewards, plus increase your Friendship with Tau, which comes in handy when you need to unlock his Level 2 Friendship quest, A Hole Lotta Work.
