However, during the recent Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS), Clash Mode was notably absent from the tournament lineup. This could suggest that the mode is either unsuitable for competitive play in its current form or not ready for inclusion in the series.

It’s important to note that Blizzard does not directly control match or map selections for the OWCS. Still, the complete removal of Clash Mode could indicate that Blizzard is implementing their planned changes. On Reddit, one fan speculated: “Clash being taken out of OWCS signals to me that the devs are about to make significant changes.”

Adding to this speculation is the sudden removal of Clash Mode, especially since it was recently featured on Hanaoka during the OWS 2025 open qualifiers.
