MultiVersus Tier List (2023): Best Characters Ranked

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter that lets you play some of the most iconic characters in the entertainment world. Developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, MultiVersus features characters from DC Comics, HBO, Turner Entertainment, Cartoon Network, and the publisher itself.

MultiVersus features over 20 characters as of now, and it is crucial to know which one’s the best. This will help users get ahead of the competition when the game finally launches in the future. Without further delay, let’s look at the tier list, which will help you divide the characters according to their effectiveness in the game.

The Tiet List features all the characters currently in the game. While the S-Tier represents all the supremely good characters in the game right now, the C-Tier will show us the few characters we should not pick in the game.

S-Tier Characters

Here is a list of all the S-Tier characters you can pick in the game. They are extremely strong, and the developers may nerf them in the future.

Finn the Human

Finn the Human is one of the best characters you can play in the game. While many people may disagree with this choice, Finn has great attacks on the ground. He also offers speed and interesting passives.

Harley Quinn

One of the most fun characters to play in the game, Harley deserves the S-Tier. She is very aggressive and does well in 1v1s. You can hit some sick combos with her, and she also offers great stress release from all that button smashing required for the quick hits.

Shaggy

Shaggy might have been a wimp in Scooby-Doo, but he is a strong character in the game. He is a very stable character with everything you would want from a fighter. Shaggy has decent attacks on the ground and air. He also has some brilliant moves as Specials, especially the ‘Zoinks!’ attack.

Tom & Jerry

The fan favorite Tom & Jerry makes the S-Tier. One of the best zoners in the game, Tom & Jerry, has a lot of variety in their attacks. Both of them make a great combo with shooting tennis balls and boosted attacks wrecking the enemy.

Velma

Velma is another Scooby-Doo character who made it to S-Tier. Her attacks are super nerdy yet offer great combos and damage. Velma has an interesting passive called Snoopin. When Velma’s Evidence meter is full, she will call a police car that stuns the enemy.

Iron Giant

Iron Giant is great in 2v2s. He is hefty and tall, with lots of appetite for soaking damage. His size is both good and bad. While you are an easy target, the skills you possess make use of the size and dish out tons of damage.

A-Tier Characters

The A-Tier characters are good picks in the game too. Although not as broken as the S-Tier ones, all the A-Tier characters can hold their own in battle.

LeBron James

The sheer presence of the Basketball theme around the character won’t disappoint LeBron fans. He uses a basketball in all his attacks which are already very strong. Imagine creating shock waves using the bounces of your basketball. Yes, LeBron makes it possible.

Batman

Batman is extremely versatile. He offers a lot of options and excels in 1v1s and 2v2s. Since it’s Batman, you get all sorts of tricks using his Batarang. You also get Bat-Grapple, Bat-Bomb, and the classic Smoke Bomb.

Arya Stark

Arya is one of the most challenging characters to play in the game. She is an Assassin, which makes her combos more intricate and tough to execute. However, Arya lacks damage and is very squishy. Her character demands skilled players to work optimally.

Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is a fast character and moves a lot in the game. His speed makes him a tough target, and he uses some unique special attacks. Although the cooldowns on Bugs Bunny are tricky to master, the character is very fun to play.

Superman

Superman is good but could land in B-Tier. He is slow and needs some buffs to match others on the list. The only reason we have put him in A-Tier is because of his beefiness. He is a tank and can soak a lot of damage. He has good air attacks too.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is great at both 1v1s and 2v2s. She is great with a teammate but also has some skills to help in solo battles. Unlike some other characters who depend on their teammates, Wonder Woman can win on her own.

B-Tier Characters

The B-Tier is filled with average characters who need skills and luck to shine.

Taz
Taz is brilliant with his tornado skills, which do insane amounts of damage. However, characters and dash out of your tornadoes easily. After the nerfs to Taz-nado, the character is average at best.

Jake the Dog
Jake is considered overpowered by many players. Jake is annoying in the game, which makes people think he is very good. However, he is average at best. The moves Jake offers feel clunky, and even though he has speed, he falls short with his skill set.

Reindog
Reindog is good both in 1v1s and 2v2s. However, he lacks any launch in his charge attacks. He is good with teamwork but needs a lot of practice. Don’t expect to solo carry your games with Reindog unless you are extremely comfortable with him.

Steven Universe
Steven Universe could easily land up in A-Tier. However, he falls short on a few occasions. He offers amazing shield and healing abilities, but they are not very useful practically. In a game, Steven is an outsider trying to support as much as he can.

C-Tier Characters

The C-Tier characters need reworks or buffs. It’s not advisable to play with them to win.

You can play C-Tier characters to enjoy their skills and try them out. Don’t depend on them to help you win the games.

Garnet

Garnet offers some decent attacks, but the rest of her skill package is mediocre. Garnet’s ground attacks are not very effective, and her air attacks are not good either. She also lacks passives and is tricky to play.

That’s all the characters we had in the game. Apart from these, a few characters will launch a bit later. Rick and Morty will make their way with the first season.
