With MultiVersus preparing for its full release for consoles and PCs globally in May 2024, developer Player First Games and its publisher, Warner Bros. Games, released an official Launch trailer highlighting its revamped gameplay, playable characters, and stages. This trailer also showcased the new characters joining the ever-expanding roster, including the recently confirmed The Joker from DC Comics and Adventure Time's Banana Guard.

Fans of the popular animated series were surprised after it was announced that this delightfully a-peel-ing character would join the ranks alongside Finn the Human and Jake the Dog. For players looking to acquire this golden-hued character, we've detailed how to unlock Banana Guard in MultiVersus.

How To Unlock The Banana Guard Character In MultiVersus?

Since MultiVersus reemerged from a hiatus following the conclusion of the Open Beta in March 2023, developer Player First Games confirmed that the free-to-play (F2P) fighting game will have its full release on 28th May 2024 across multiple platforms. Recently, the developer dropped the latest blog entry for their Developer Series, highlighting changes to the game's Battle Pass system, game economy, and new rewards to welcome players back to MultiVersus.

Regarding the latter, the developer will make several in-game items available as rewards to thank the community for their patience and continuous support. One of these rewards is the new playable character, Banana Guard, a guard assigned to protect Princess Bubblegum and her castle from the animated series Adventure Time.

To unlock Banana Guard in MultiVersus, all players, new and returning, must complete the game's new tutorial, which, upon completion, unlocks a seven-day reward calendar. Each day, when logging into the game while this calendar is active, players must claim their daily reward for one of the days they can unlock Banana Guard as a playable character.

This means that players can get a new playable character for free without spending in-game currency or using real-world money to acquire Banana Guard in MultiVersus. Additionally, a related item can also be unlocked through the seven-day reward calendar, which, when all the rewards have been collected, can earn the Lady Banana Guard character variant for Banana Guard.

Speaking of free rewards, returning players who log into MultiVersus between now and 11th June 2024 can receive a free Battle Pass for the upcoming season. This free Battle Pass will allow them to unlock another new playable character, Jason Voorhees, for free, but new players must get the Battle Pass to unlock him.

Lastly, players participating in the Open Beta until March 2023 can earn a few more rewards in-game. These players can receive special edition items like the Snow Suit Finn commemorative character variant, a Rising Stars ringout, and a Banana Guard announcer pack.
