San Diego Comic-Con 2022 – All Trailers And Announcements

This year's San Diego Comic-Con was a return to great form following a years-long absence due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. With a large audience attending the San Diego Convention Center, the annual pop culture extravaganza promised plenty of exclusive announcements, first reveals, updates, and more.

We've covered everything announced during Marvel Studios' SDCC panels over the weekend, which saw two new Avengers films, a Teaser trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the return of Daredevil. We'll be highlighting every other announcement and trailer revealed during SDCC 2022.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves revealed

The popular fantasy tabletop game is breaking into film and television as Paramount Pictures gave audiences a first look into the film adaptation, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The panel revealed the film's cast, new poster, original D&D monsters appearing, and which of the game's heroes will be explored in the film.

The Wolf Pack returns in Teen Wolf: The Movie

The supernatural teen series Teen Wolf, which originally aired on MTV, will resurrect in a film adaptation coming to the streaming platform Paramount Plus. Some of the show's original cast, including Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, and Tyler Hoechlin, is set to return to Beacon Hills with a spin-off project starring Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

National Treasure: Edge of History series coming to Disney+

Disney is reviving the world of National Treasure with a planned live-action series, National Treasure: Edge of History, arriving to Disney+.

The spin-off show will focus on new characters with familiar faces set to appear, including Harvey Keitel and Justin Bartha; however, no word if Nicolas Cage will join the cast.

The Walking Dead universe expands

AMC showed off the teaser trailer for the remaining episodes of the final season, arriving in October 2022 with new spin-off projects announced. This includes Tales of the Walking Dead and the previously announced Rick Grimes film, now a series with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira returning as Rick Grimes and Michonne.

Avatar Studios' Last Airbender animated film announced

Nickelodeon's popular animated show, Avatar: The Last Airbender, will get another animated treatment under a new studio, Avatar Studios. With co-creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko in charge of this film which will be vastly different from the Netflix-produced live-action treatment.

Keanu Reeves reveals BRZRKR anime, John Wick Chapter 4 trailer

Keanu Reeves made his presence known at Comic-Con, unveiling two upcoming projects: the first is an adaptation of his manga series, BRZRKR, in which Netflix is producing an animated project. Additionally, he debuted a high-octane trailer for John Wick Chapter 4 featuring intense fight sequences, set for release on 24th March 2023.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods debut villains in new trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled another trailer for the upcoming Shazam: Fury of the Gods, filled with plenty of Easter Eggs. The trailer introduces the Daughters of Atlas, the film's antagonists, as Shazam gets giddy over the Atlantean king, Arthur Curry/Aquaman.

Black Adam trailer shows off Justice Society

Dwayne Johnson debuted a new trailer for the DCEU film Black Adam showing off the antihero taking down "fools" and his interactions with the Justice Society. Being a Shazam spin-off, no confirmation whether Zachary Levi's Shazam will appear alongside the character when it releases in October 2022.

New Picard trailer, planned Stra Trek crossover announced

Trekkies were in for a treat as they were gifted a trailer for Season 3 of Picard, and a crossover event for Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks was announced. Lower Decks confirmed it would be back for a third season; however, no announcement on when Season 2 of Strange New Worlds will premiere on Paramount Plus.

A show based on the Anne Rice series of novels, The Vampire Chronicles, is set to premiere on 2nd October 2022 on AMC. The series, Interview with the Vampire, which will be a remake of the 1994 film, will star Game of Thrones actor Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac.

The Dragon Prince gets a fourth season after three year-wait

After a three-year hiatus, the Netflix animated series, The Dragon Prince is receiving a fourth season. The official clip details what had happened to the characters, particularly mages Claudia and Callum, two years following the Battle of the Storm Spire

Mythic Quest returns to Apple TV+ for a third season

The Apple TV+ series, Mythic Quest, will return for a third season with a new company in the spotlight and new faces added to the cast. While it seems the new company is experiencing the same HR problems, the series has been picked up for two more seasons on the platform.
