MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Players, Release Schedule

Many of this year's MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues players have finally been revealed. The Storylines mode first introduced in last year's release now moves to Season 2, and that means new legends of the Negro Leagues era will be showcased like never before.

While one more set of players is on the way as the MLB The Show 24 release date drifts into the rear-view mirror, there are already unforgettable stories for players to experience. We've got more details below on every Negro Leagues player featured in MLB The Show 24 Storylines and when their next update is due to arrive.

MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Players

Continuing a multi-year partnership and tradition that first started with MLB The Show 23, Sony San Diego has once again joined forced with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to bring the true stories of that era to a whole new generation. Last year, they added seven new legends and put a spotlight on an earlier era of Jackie Robinson's career.

For Storylines Season 2, things kicked off at launch with four different Negro Leagues players at the forefront. They announced there would be two free content drops with three more players included in each that arrive after launch. That'll bring the total this year to 10 different Negro Leagues Storylines, and the majority of them will be new members of the legends roster.

Here are all the MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues players revealed so far:

• Buck Leonard

• Toni Stone
  
• Leon Day
• Larry Doby
• Jose Mendez

All of these legends deserve their story told, but Toni Stone stands out as particularly groundbreaking for being the first female player ever featured in the MLB The Show franchise. Stone was a trailblazer in the Negro Leagues, and she's still blazing a new trail in MLB The Show 24.

MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Release Schedule

While we only know of seven Negro Leagues players that will be a part of Storylines Season 2 in MLB The Show 24, Sony San Diego has already confirmed more are on the way. The earliest teasers stated the next players would arrive in "early April" and the "end of May."

The first of those rang true when three new players were added on Friday, April 5. However, their Feature Premiere indicated the wait between these wouldn't be quite as long. With that in mind, here is the release date we expect for the final update:

We'll update with an exact drop date once it has been confirmed, but we do know three more players will be added. We don't yet know how many of these players will be entirely new additions for the MLB The Show 24 legends roster. Similar to Hank Aaron and last year's inclusion of Jackie Robinson, a few of the unannounced players may be MLB greats already in the game whose Negro Leagues history needs to be told.
