In the latest Minecraft Live show, Mojang has announced "The Wild Update", the next major Minecraft update coming after the Caves & Cliffs: Part 2. The update will bring a ton of new features into the game including new biome, mobs, items and more.

Minecraft "The Wild Update" release date
Minecraft "The Wild Update" will release sometime in 2022 however Mojang has not revealed any specific release window or date. We will update you as it gets announced. Meanwhile, players are still waiting for the Caves & Cliffs: Part 2 update which is scheduled to arrive this year.
Minecraft "The Wild Update" features
Minecraft "The Wild Update" will bring a new and better gameplay experience with more depth, and lots of fun stuff. This includes a brand new biome, the Mangrove Swamp where players can find Mangrove trees made up of a different kind of wood that players can use in crafting and building.
In addition to this, The Deep Dark, the underground biome that was supposed to arrive with the Caves and Cliffs update will finally be arriving with The Wild Update.
Apart from this, new mobs including frogs, tadpoles, fireflies, The Warden and Allays along with the much-awaited boats with chests and mud blocks will also be introduced in the new update.
