Netflix gave Minecraft fans a surprise during its 15th anniversary.

Netflix and Mojang Studios have officially announced Minecraft Animates Series officially under collaboration with WildBrain, a Canadian animated studio. The series is currently in development and at the moment, no release period has been announced for it.

The official announcement reads, "This just happened: The best selling game of all time & the biggest streamer in the world are teaming up to bring you a brand NEW Minecraft Netflix animated series!"

The announcement has been made to celebrate the Minecraft 15th year anniversary and Netflix will reveal more details about Minecraft animated series in the future.
