Minecraft Legends is a new upcoming action-strategy game from Mojang Studios, developed in partnership with Blackbird Interactive, and announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022. While the game largely resembles classic Minecraft, it is anything but the open-ended sandbox experience of the early 2010s.

Instead, Minecraft Legends is a modern twist, boasting impressive visuals and a strategy-based campaign with players leading the charge in defending the Overworld from the destructive piglins. Minecraft Legends - Release Date and Platforms

Minecraft Legends will release on 18 April 2023 on Microsoft Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S gameplay platforms via their respective store pages. Additionally, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from launch.

Minecraft Legends is a new action-strategy game based on the original Minecraft video game, released in November 2011. The game will feature an exciting campaign that entices new and veteran players with an online co-op and competitive multiplayer mode. According to the game's Executive Producer, Dennis Ries, "Minecraft Legends takes players to the Minecraft universe in a fun and unique new way, as they lead their allies in heroic battles to defend the Overworld."
