This recent announcement confirms a rumor following the game's official announcement that a console release was rumored for Marvel Rivals. While a release date has yet to be determined, the developer announced that a Closed Beta Test for Marvel Rivals would occur in July 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, which information will be announced "closer to the test."

NetEase Senior Vice President Ethan Wang eagerly expressed his excitement for the recent console announcement of Marvel Rivals, stating that the console release will "greatly expand the audience for Marvel Rivals. As we move closer to our closed beta phase, we look forward to direct community feedback and engaging with our players to create the best possible Super Hero experience."

But that's not all: the developer also announced two new characters joining the roster, with Adam Warlock and Venon increasing the current "all-star roster" from 19 to 21 playable characters. Likewise, a new location was unveiled during the game's console trailer with Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands map revealing which Venom players are looking forward to unleashing "the power of the symbiote" and devouring their opponents across this location.
