I really have a hard time understanding the reasoning behind some of the selections to the Team of the Week program as we went two for five last week again with Kevin Byard and Davante Adams being our correct picks.
They all are great players that had amazing performances and they deserve a better rating in Madden 22 Ultimate Team, but I don’t think their selection is solely on their individual performance anymore.
Nonetheless, we come back this week with our prediction of those players that really shined in NFL Week 6 and could be strong candidates to become new members of the Team of the Week program.
Madden 22 Team of the Week 6 predictions
Just like we do every week we will update you whenever EA makes the official announcement, but we will go ahead to predict who will be part of it based on Week 6 individual performances and how those will affect their MUT best item.
HB Jonathan Taylor - Indianapolis Colts
Core Elite 80 OVR -> TOTW 90 OVR
Last week, Taylor posted 169 total yards and 2 touchdowns on Monday Night Football which is why we did not nominate him for TOTW. He did not make the program anyways so he believed that if he followed that with another 158 total yards plus a pair of tuddies would do the trick for this week.
WR DeAndre Hopkins - Arizona Cardinals
Core Elite 87 OVR -> TOTW 88 OVR
It is not always about the yards but how your presence is felt on the gridiron and that is exactly what Hopkins means for the Cardinals. The best hands in football just broke the 50-yard mark receiving but he caught two touchdowns in what remains a perfect season so far for Arizona.
WR CeeDee Lamb - Dallas Cowboys
Team Builders 84 OVR -> TOTW 92 OVR
Overtime against the best head coach in the history of the NFL, no problem when you have CeeDee on your offence. The Cowboys’ speedster shined with 11 catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns to get the dub for Dallas.
LOLB Darius Leonard - Indianapolis Colts
Superstars 86 OVR -> TOTW 92 OVR
I rarely list two candidates from the same team as EA tries to balance the fanbase inclusion in the game, but what the Maniac is doing is remarkable. Aside from being a playmaker that has provoked five turnovers in the last four games, he is a leader. In their victory against the Texans, Leonard logged seven tackles, one Interception, one QB pressure that ended on another interception and a forced fumble.
ROLB Markus Golden - Arizona Cardinals
Core Gold 79 OVR -> TOTW 86 OVR
Just like the last entry, things were just clicking for the Cardinals as they were amazing on both sides of the ball. The QB chaser had five total tackles to go along with two sacks and a forced fumble, shining in a defence that has other studs like JJ Watt, Chandler Jones or Budda Baker.
Remember to complete each week’s solo challenges as they will grant you Team of the Year tokens that will be very useful at the end of the season to recruit one of those players.
Also, you will get an 88 OVR NCAT TOTW item if you complete each week’s 8 stars and that’s a very easy way to bolster your team without spending cash.
We improve our weekly result by going 3 of 5 in our TOTW 6 predictions

We definitely got a better result this week with our predictions as Jonathan Taylor, CeeDee Lamb and Markus Golden made the cut to be part of the Team of the Week 6 program.
I would probably put Darius Leonard over a kicker but that's just me being picky about the result just because of how dominant The Maniac has been lately.
With games starting once again on Thursday we will keep a closer look at who logs great performances and make our prediction to become the latest members of the item series.
In the meantime, make sure to give a look at our dedicated section as we will bring you everything you need to know about every Madden release, news, MUT tips and more.
