Always one of the hottest Summer game releases of the year, EA Sports is gearing up for the next drop in their iconic franchise as Madden 23 is only weeks away. With this year's title marking the first release since the death of John Madden, players should expect the game developers to pull out all the stops in an attempt to honor the gridiron legend.
One of the aspects fans have been requesting for years has been an update and rework of the famed Franchise mode. It looks as though EA Sports are answering the call as the game devs just released a video highlighting all the updates to the Franchise mode. Here are all the details you need to know as Scouting and Free Agency features will bring the best Franchise mode action yet.
Madden 23 Franchise Mode - Changes and Updates
After gaining notoriety in the early years of Madden as one of the best game modes in the popular football titles, Franchise mode seemed to be somewhat neglected in recent years. Fans often complained about what felt like a copy and pasted product from the previous year's title, simply with updated rosters.

The game developers seem to have taken those complaints to heart, as this year's Franchise mode is set to offer a fresh new set of features for players to enjoy.
Madden 23 Franchise Mode - Free Agency
The Free Agency aspect of Franchise mode has been re-worked in Madden 23 to provide a more competitive and rewarding experience. Rather than simply basing Free Agency around how much money a team is offering to a player, Madden 23 changes that.
Player Motivations and Player Tags will factor into each and every Free Agent decision. A return to a hometown, an urge to play with another top player in the NFL, and much more will impact your Free Agency period in Madden 23 Franchise mode.
Madden 23 Franchise Mode - Scouting
Another top request from player feedback, Scouting has been re-tooled in the Madden 23 version of Franchise mode. For starters, more scouts have been added to the pool with much more positional expertise, allowing you to get information on players faster and crush your upcoming draft.
You'll also be able to scout multiple positions at each stage of the offseason, allowing you to learn more about prospective players in a shorter period of time. Additionally, attribute reveals will be weighted in Madden 23 Franchise mode Scouting, as to better pertain to the position of the player.
