The top two teams seemed to be clear cut throughout the season, with G2 Esports and Fnatic finishing the split with 15-3 and 14-4 records respectively. They both have an automatic bye to the second round of Summer playoffs, and the winner of the two's match will find themselves in the grand final.
Meanwhile, Splyce took the third spot after going 12-6, whilst Schalke 04 look to be having more success on the Rift than in the Bundesliga with their 11-7 record.
The final two spots were very much up in the air, with five teams on the precipice of qualification and the potential of reaching the League of Legends World Championships. Four of those teams finished with a 7-11 record, and Misfits fell just short at 6-12 despite a 2-0 final week.
Of Rogue, Team Vitality, SK Gaming and Origen, it was the first two that made playoffs. Rogue had a 1-1 week whilst Team Vitality went 0-2, but they both done enough to be in contention; Vitality even won the tiebreaker against SK Gaming to confirm that they deserved the final spot.
The fixtures for the Summer Split playoffs are currently as follows:
Round 1
- Splyce vs. Rogue
- Schalke 04 vs. Team Vitality
Round 2
- G2 Esports vs. Fnatic
- Winner of Splyce/Rogue vs. Winner of S04 vs. Vitality
