Following changes to the League Of Legends Championship Series (LCS) format, Riot Games has revealed a new partner for the event.
Mobile game developer GreenPark Sports, founded by former staff at YouTube, Zappos and BLITZ, will be partnering up with the LCS to create a “next-generation” mobile title.
The game promises to allow fans to compete with one another to win prizes using your League Of Legends expert knowledge, and will feature LCS pros and teams.
The game is currently in development with more information promised on a beta test “closer to the Summer Split”.

Following their partnership with the LCS last year, Mastercard will also be back as a sponsor on a new LCS Player Of The Week Award with fan prizes.
The POTW award will be broadcast on Monday nights after the Monday Night League, where the best player – judged by LCS casters and other Riot staff – will be awarded with a custom commemorative statue with a 3D model of the player.
Fans can get involved too. If they correctly predict the POTW on Mastercard’s social channels, they will be entered into a contest to receive the same trophy. Annoyingly, this contest is only available to North American citizens, with 15 winners chosen.
You can also win the full set of nine trophies from the entire Spring Split regular season in future.
The LCS Spring Split kicks off on Saturday 25 January, while the Summer Split begins on Saturday 20 June.
