Bring forth the metal! Pentakill skins and event teaser trailer revealed

League of Legends returns once more to the lands of myth and metal, for the great and mighty Pentakill once again bless our airwaves! Viego makes for quite the guitarist, apparently… Here’s everything we know so far about the skins and upcoming event:

It’s official: Pentakill are back. We’ve already had word of the upcoming new album, Lost Chapter, which is due to release on the 8th of September, but we’re now getting a look at what players can expect in-game as well.

Before we dive into the skins themselves, it’s worth giving the teaser trailer a watch. Narrated by the dulcet tones of Viego, the trailer weaves a tale of myth, magic and the great and mighty gods of metal… and of course, the rise of Pentakill, who have fought to their position above all other bands. “And so,” Viego says, “Pentakill have reigned unchallenged - and shall forevermore! Or so it is to be believed…”

That’s certainly one way to whet the appetite for the action and music to come. Even if details of the event are still largely a mystery we can certainly appreciate the Brütal Legend-esque zany metal mythology.

The all-new Pentakill skins

Every previous member of Pentakill will be returning and getting a makeover stylish enough to make Gene Simmons jealous, and new member Viego will also be shredding the airwaves alongside (or perhaps against) the band. Let’s be real - was there ever any doubt the Ruined King would be joining at some point?

Here’s the full list of band members:

  • Karthus
  • Kayle
  • Olaf
  • Mordekaiser
  • Sona
  • Yorrick
  • Viego

RP price tags have yet to be announced, but going off recent League of Legends skinline events it’s safe to assume a baseline price of 1350 RP, with one skin going up to Legendary and being priced at 1820 RP - likely the new addition, Viego. On top of that, you can expect one skin to come out with a Prestige variant.
