Identity V Roadmap: What To Expect In 2024

Identity V is an ever-changing title, with new characters, maps, and other content constantly added to the game. While there is no official Identity V roadmap, developers often let fans know about content that they plan to add to the game in the future - so it's easy to get an idea of what's coming in 2024. From new characters to new events, gameplay changes, and more, there's a lot to look forward to. Here's what's in store for Identity V's roadmap in 2024, including new seasons, gameplay changes, and more.

Identity V Roadmap Overview For 2024

Seasons 30-35

Identity V releases a new season every couple of months, meaning that we'll see the release of Seasons 30-35 in 2024. Each season includes the release of a Hunter, a Survivor, or both. 

Season 30 began on 11 January 2024, and will end likely sometime in March. Season 30 included just one new Survivor, the Puppeteer.

Therefore, it's likely that Season 31 will include a Hunter - however, it's also possible that we could see another Survivor in addition to the new Hunter. Season 31 will likely run from March 2024 til May.

Balance Adjustments

Every season, characters receive a series of balance adjustments to accommodate for new characters added to the game and change's to Identity V's meta. Throughout 2024, we'll likely see changes to characters' powers and fine-tuning to their stats to keep the game fresh and competitive.

Some of the changes slated for this year include:

• Priestess and Cowboy nerfs
• Journalist and Wu Chang buffs
• Changes to Perfumer and Cheerleader

As new characters are added and the game adapts, it's likely even more specific character changes will be required.

Various Quality-of-Life Features

In addition to balance adjustments and regularly adding chapters, developers have also promised that numerous quality-of-life features will be coming to the game in the future. It's possible that we could get the following new features in 2024, as NetEase has mentioned adding all of them:

• Emotes that hunters can use while moving (like survivors)
• Character optimizations
• Lore updates
• Improved ping function
• Reporting in BlackJack mode
• Improved cheating penalties
• Ability to rewind replays
• PC version optimizations

That said, there's no official release date for any of those quality-of-life updates; they're just features that NetEase has mentioned that they plan on adding sometime in the future. We hope to see lots of new quality-of-life updates to Identity V this year, so here's hoping!
