Horizon Forbidden West PC Requirements: Minimum, Recommended Specs

Horizon Forbidden West is set to receive a PC port, akin to that of Horizon Zero Dawn. PlayStation recently announced that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be releasing on PC in early 2024. Previously, French website Dealabs posted that a listing appeared in the Singapore classification body mentioning a game titled “Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition,” set to be released on PS5. The listing has since been removed but many were quick, and right, to assume this complete edition will include the base game plus the DLC expansion Burning Shores, and get a PC release.

 Plenty of PlayStation-exclusive titles have made their way to PC over a year after initial release, such as Returnal, God of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Given that Forbidden West launched in February 2022, it seems we're overdue. 

So if Horizon Forbidden West  is set to arrive on PC in 2024, we anticipate the recommended PC requirements to be very similar to those of other PlayStation 5 titles that have received ports.

Horizon Forbidden West PC Port Speculated Minimum Requirements

At the time of writing, PlayStation have yet to reveal the exact PC requirements for the upcoming port. If we assume that Horizon Forbidden West's PC release will be similar to other PS5 titles that have received ports, then its minimum requirements could be close to that of Returnal's:

• Memory: 16 GB RAM
• Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB)
• Storage: 60 GB available space
• Additional Notes: SSD Recommended

Horizon Forbidden West PC Port Speculated Recommended Requirements

Again, if we take Returnal's PC port as a blueprint, Horizon Forbidden West's recommended PC requirements could be as follows:

• Processor: Intel i7-8700 (6 core 3.7 GHz) AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 core 3.7 GHz)
• Memory: 16 GB RAM
• Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super (8 GB) AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB)
• Storage: 60 GB available space

In both the minimum and recommended specifications, we actually anticipate the required storage to be bigger. Horizon Forbidden West will launch as the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, containing the DLC Burning Shores. In this case, it would be safe to assume the required stoarge would be larger.
