On 4 December 2022, publisher Epic Games released their newest patch for the popular battle royale Fortnite. Like previous updates, Chapter 4 Season 1 boasted several exciting content additions, ranging from new weapons to a new map and points of interest. In addition, other notable features included cosmetic skins for Doom Guy (from DOOM), Geralt of Rivia (from The Witcher), and YouTube star MrBeast in the Fortnite Battle Pass. But that's not all.
The Fortnite Chapter 4 official launch trailer also featured an iconic character from Kōhei Horikoshi's acclaimed manga series My Hero Academia: Izuku "Deku" Midoriya. The beloved protagonist could be seen charging at enemies, destroying a building with his powerful "One For All" punch. This latest appearance naturally sent anime fans into a frenzy, confirming more recent speculation of a potential crossover.

While Fortnite's collaboration with My Hero Academia is hardly a surprise, given the game's more recent crossovers with acclaimed anime Dragon Ball and Naruto, many fans are left wondering if any other MHA characters like Shoto Todoroki or Katsuki Bakugo will be coming to the island. Unfortunately, however, Epic Games has not provided any indication to confirm this, meaning fans will have to wait for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 to pan out.
The publisher also did not reveal in what capacity Deku will join Fortnite. Still, it's safe to assume that the My Hero Academia protagonist will feature as an in-game skin. In addition, some fans speculate that All Might could debut in Fortnite after spotting a Pickaxe resembling the character's suit earlier in the trailer (see ~30-second timestamp). That said, there is currently no official release date for Deku and All Might's arrival in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, but we will endeavor to update you regarding any further developments.
Until then, at least fans can enjoy the sixth season of the anime. My Hero Academia: Season 6 premiered on 1 October 2022, featuring 25 episodes covering the "Paranormal Liberation War" arc from the original manga's 27th volume (Chapters 258–306). The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix (region-dependent).
