Content creators command massive space in the world of competitive gaming, and now we’re seeing developers start to collaborate with those who play their game at the highest level. Well known in the world of Fortnite, Andre “Typical Gamer” Rebelo is now next in line for a cross-promotion with developers Epic Games.
We’ve recently seen crossovers with both DC Comics and the National Basketball Association, both bringing loads of new content to Fortnite island. These special promotions can contain special tournaments, limited-time game modes (LTMs), or simply just skins and other cosmetic items.
Next up is a new tournament highlighting one of the top Fortnite streamers actively playing. Andre “Typical Gamer” Rebelo will be hosting the Typical Gamer Cup featuring Fortnite.
Fortnite Typical Gamer Cup - event info
The Fortnite Typical Gamer Cup is set to take place from 26-27th, May 2021, and will be a two-round tournament. The tournament will be an NA West Trios tournament, with 500 of those Trios moving on from round 1 to round 2.
The Grand prize for the tournament has not yet been revealed, however, there is a $10,000 prize pool with which to pull from.
As of writing, there is no information on how to qualify or enter the tournament. This could be due to the fact that Epic Games is not officially administering the cup.
