The popular battle royale phenomenon that is Fortnite experienced some downtime for its V22.10 update recently, which came much earlier than fans were expecting. This caused many players to get booted from the game unexpectedly, and to apologize for this, Epic Games has given players a brand new Wrap called Sweat-Free to collect.
If you're interested in grabbing this new Wrap for yourself, or you found yourself getting kicked off during the downtime, and want to claim your gift from the developers, then we have you covered. Below you can find everything you need to know to get the free Sweat Free Wrap in Chapter 3 Season 4 of Fortnite.
Fortnite - How To Get Free Sweat-Free Wrap
Getting the free Sweat-Free Wrap in Chapter 3 Season 4 of Fortnite is quite simple, as it was meant to be a gift from the developers as an apology for the sudden downtime. To get it, players simply need to follow the steps below to claim this free prize:
- Wait until the downtime is over, then update the game when prompted.
- As soon as the game starts, a page with the Wrap on-screen should appear.
- To obtain it, use the 'Equip' or 'Claim' buttons.
- It will be added to the in-game locker once completed.
As mentioned earlier, this Wrap is being given out for free to make amends for the downtime coming ahead of schedule and frustrating many in-game players. But even those who were not affected by the initial outage will receive this cosmetic item, though it is unknown how long it will be available for players to pick up for free, so we recommend picking it up as soon as possible.

Because the outage only affected Fortnite update v22.10, this new Wrap may not be available until the next update arrives in two weeks. Nonetheless, loopers have plenty of time to claim their compensatory Wrap.
On that note, despite Epic Games' indirect apology for the servers being shut down early, it's still unclear what happened. For now, this new and cool-looking Wrap can compensate for some of the frustration and untimely kicks that occurred when the servers went down, so be sure to grab yours as soon as you head back into the game.
