Fortnite Chapter 3 trailer leak teases Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Fortnite fans are currently in a craze after a TikTok video leaked what strongly appears to be developer Epic Games' promotional advertisement for Fortnite Season 3. This is despite Epic Games requesting dataminers not to post any leaks during the v19.00 downtime, which after now did not appear to be a realistic request at all.

We realize why this is an important concern for them and have provided suggestions on how to make their idea work in a good way.

The TikTok video, which has been reshared thousands of times, suggests several major changes, including a new map and hints (rather strongly) that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will have some involvement in the game.

Dataminers leak Fortnite Chapter 3 ad teasing a new map

On 2nd December, Twitter user FreddyTheFox revealed that they were on TikTok when they encountered an unreleased advert promoting Fortnite Chapter 3, which is only expected to go live in the next few days.

The video shows several heroes washed away by an enormous wave before unveiling a near-sunken island surrounded by alien motherships from earlier seasons of Fortnite. Following an explosion of sorts, the island is then restored by being flipped back in its proper orientation, revealing what looks like a new map.

Upon inspecting the trailer, it's challenging to get a clear view of the map, although some fans speculate it resembles features from the older "Artemis" map. Nevertheless, it appears as though Epic Games will be introducing a new map to its hit battle royale.

The Rock likely to feature in Fortnite Chapter 3

Many fans also speculate that Hollywood actor and former wrestling star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will feature in the next chapter of Fortnite. This came after Johnson recently promoted his ZOA energy drink in an Instagram video, which featured an easter egg of a helmet worn by The Foundation from Fortnite Season 5.

Some sources speculate that Johnson's dialogue also hinted at specific Fortnite references, with references like, "drinking ZOA will always give you the strongest FOUNDATION in the UNIVERSE" and even using hashtags like "#ifyouknowyouknow."

Indeed, this was not the first time Johnson teased himself being The Foundation either. In March, Johnson posted a different video on Instagram, with the caption, "The Foundation," which attracted mass speculation that he would eventually be introduced into Fortnite as the character with the same name.

Together, the evidence strongly suggests that Johnson will, at the very least, have some involvement in Fortnite's Chapter 3. Perhaps Johnson will be the voice actor for The Foundation, or Epic Games will introduce him as the next celebrity to join its Fortnite Icon Series; who knows.

Unfortunately, Epic Games have refused to comment on the leak, so we'll have to wait and see what they have in store for us. Fortunately, however, Fortnite Chapter 3 is only a few days away, so at least it's not too long of a wait.
