A new Five Nights at Freddy's 2 teaser posted by Blumhouse on X/Twitter showcases Toy Freddy, providing fans with their first-ever high-definition look at the new animatronic. Toy Freddy makes an appearance in the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 game, so it makes perfect sense that he'd appear in the second movie.
The new teaser features Toy Freddy peeking out from behind a red curtain, with bright blue eyes glowing brightly in the dim light. The animatronic, designed by Jim Henson's Creature Shop (like the animatronics in the first film), "bears" a lot of similarities to the character in the game - no pun intended. This first look at Toy Freddy isn't the only news to come surrounding FNAF 2 recently. In fact, Matthew Lillard recently confirmed that the movie's filming will begin next week - likely in New Orleans, Louisana, like the first film. Lillard will reprise his role as William Afton, AKA Springtrap, in the sequel. Lillard has previously tipped fans off that he signed a three-movie deal, suggesting there might even be a Five Nights at Freddy's 3 movie in the future.
For now, though, details surrounding a potential FNAF 3 movie are all just speculation, as filming on the FNAF 2 movie is just beginning. While there might be a wait before the movie releases filming starting pretty soon means good news for fans, since it's likely we'll get more new teasers just like this one in the near future.
For now, many are excited about this initial look at Toy Freddy, and hope that more teasers will come quite soon. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is set to release in theaters on December 5, 2025.
