Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic Announced by Steel Wool

Today, Steel Wool studios officially announced a new FNAF project called Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic. The project's short trailer includes a 2025 date, though it's unknown whether this is its release date, or simply when fans will get more information about the game.

The announcement came as part of Five Nights at Freddy's' 10th anniversary weeklong celebration, each day of which has included a massive announcement from series creator Scott Cawthon. Other updates have included an interview with Cawthon, a new myPOPGOES game, and more.

Secret of the Mimic, which developers describe as a "brand new original nightmare in the Five Nights at Freddy's universe," will be the fourth instalment in the franchise made by Steel Wool Studios.

The game was posted with the tag line, "to see the future sometimes you need to understand the past."  Not much other information is known about the project at this time.
