Five Nights at Freddys: Into the Pit is approved for launch on consoles in all regions, according to the Mega Cat Studios team. There's been no confirmed release date provided for the upcoming port quite yet, but developers promise that they'll make an announcement whenever they have approval to share the date.

"We. . . have a final date approved by the Scottgames team to go live," the Mega Cat team confirmed on X/Twitter.

The upcoming port will include additions of "fan requests," bug fixes, and quality-of-life updates, developers say, and will launch in all regions on the same date. "We are doing everything we can to give all console players the best version of the game possible on console launch day," Mega Cat added.

Mega Cat Studios' Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit was released on Steam to critical acclaim in August 2024, as part of the Five Nights at Freddy's 10th anniversary celebration week. This horror adventure title uses 8-bit graphics and puts players in the shoes of protagonist Oswald as he explores Freddy's Pizzaplex, outruns the iconic animatronics, and even switches between timelines. As developers put it:

"Travel through time, solve puzzles, gather clues, and outrun the threat chasing you as you race against time to prevent a disaster from unfolding. But be careful, your every move could have dire consequences."

In addition to the upcoming console port, developers also released a new hotfix update for Into the Pit on Steam today. The hotfix includes quality of life improvements, new languages (Ukrainian, Indonesian, and Traditional Chinese), and many bug fixes. Developers say that more languages, minigame tutorial improvements, and bug fixes are on the way in the near future.
