Following the enormous box office success of Five Nights at Freddy's Movie, a Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Movie is already confirmed - and production will begin in early 2024, according to Hollywood Handle.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Movie could release sometime in 2025 or even late 2024, considering the movie will begin production in 2024. This means that fans likely won't have to wait too much longer for the next FNAF movie to hit the big screens, and a release date could be announced in the next few months.
The FNAF 2 Movie will be directed by Emma Tammi, who also directed the first record-breaking film. Matthew Lillard also let slip that he signed up for a three-film deal as Springtrap, suggesting the yellow rabbit will also make a return in some form in the second film, perhaps taking on a more major role than in FNAF 1.
For now, there's not a ton of info about the potential plot of the FNAF 2 movie, but it's likely it'll largely follow the plot of the second game, much as the first movie followed many aspects of the original FNAF game. Considering Lillard's 3-movie deal, it's very likely that fans will see a FNAF 3 movie in the future - but no news on that quite yet, either.
